Here's what written chinese looks like without a calligraphy brush.

The most canadian night I've had since I landed. Chillin with the homeboy watchin the game and drinking some brewskies. It was the first hockey game we'd seen in 6 months and we thought what better tiime to crack open the 2 cans of Kokanee my bros brought over. Check out who's playing in the bottom right hand corner. Unfortunatly we lost 3-2.

My usually breakfast composed of street food and 2 bags of milk that tastes like it has had frosted flakes floating in it over night.

ok, that giant tv screen on a boat is possibly the craziest thing ever. is it like a drive-in... but on water of some sorts or is it used for advertising?

nice to see you got to enjoy some good ol' hockey and beer. can't go wrong with that. I'm also surprised that you were able to find a deserted place for 2hrs in China. that's unbelievable but then again, maybe you weren't alone and you had some dead bodies to keep you company around there.

quick question, did you ever get around to going to that crazy ice exhibit thing?

Your right Lisa it was cool as, but I don't know what the point of that t.v. was. It would say welcome to Shanghai once in a while then show clips of pandas eating bamboo or chinese girls doing cultural dance.

Unfortunatly we never went north and instead decided to go south to drink at a club for one night, resulting in Jon breaking his 2 front teeth.
Harbin woulda been so cool(literally) but the train ride was rediculously long. I'm always tight for cash it seems and they didn't really wanna travel much more after going to the wrong city by train when they first attempted to get to Xuzhou.

hmm, so I guess it's just one of the city's methods of advertising itself and promoting tourism or something. Does it say that in English?

ah I see, that kinda sucks that you didn't get to check it out. oh well, you've seen enough amazing things that I'm jealous about as it is. That whole long train ride to Harbin and Jon and Darren going to the wrong city makes me think of how it took me, marc, kyle and ross more time to get to this place called Nikko (while in Japan) than the time we actually physically spent there. the trains to get there were longer rides and we missed like 2 of them while we waited for what we THOUGHT was our train, haha. At least we ended up in the right spot though... just like 3 hours later than we expected.

your new pics are sweet, by the way. especially that highway shot. I think your blog is my new favourite site. Go China!
